Over 33,500 Diapers Donated to Utah Diaper Bank

A huge thank you to all who contributed to the 2News Diaper Drive benefitting the Utah Diaper Bank. Thanks to the generous support of the community, the diaper bank received 33,558 diapers and a total of $18,731 in donated funds. Cyprus Credit Union was pleased to present a check to the diaper bank this past week for $9,908 (the portion of community donations made through Cyprus).

Founded in 2013 by Vic Velivis, the Utah Diaper Bank serves Utahns who find themselves among the 36% of American families struggling to afford diapers. Safety net programs such as Food Stamps and WIC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children) do not cover diaper costs.
